The Perfect Switch
Very easy to wire it up. I had to trim my face plate but keep in mind, this is not OEM. It is BETTER! This is what the manufacturers should be using when they build it. Large buttons which make it smoother to turn it on. The stop button is so large, you can easily shut it down with your knee if you had a problem. This is possibly the best start/stop switch on the market. I ordered it late Monday night and it was at my house Thursday morning. And this was standard shipping. This eBayer goes out of their way to make sure you get the product you ordered in an incredibly fast time. I will definitely look at their store before buy anything else. Keep up the good work. Very Nice Switch. Not for most amateur electricians to install.
Sturdy, large switch. I would give it 5 stars if it came with a wiring diagram. For us basic electricians expecting a typical light switch installation (where the neutral wires are connected with a wiring nut, only hots are connected to the switch and the incoming ground is terminated at the switch), this is not set up this manner. The connection points are not setup for bare wire, so you have to use a crimped ring connection. Ground is direct to motor - no ground on the switch. "Line" is incoming power, so you connect the hot (black) and white (neutral) on the Line side. "Load" is hot and neutral to the motor. This summary is USA wiring setup only. Excellent Switch For Safety
I bought two for rewiring some old cast iron tools I bought at an auction. I found, using a 4x4 box with mud ring (3/4”) worked very well. You don’t wire it like a light switch. Both the hot and common on bth the load and line are attached. Took a few minutes to wrap my brain around that. Additionally, you need to use connectors, not just straight wire to connect. Great Bench Saw Replacement Safety Switch.
I purchased this Push Button On/Off safety switch to replace the defective one on my old but perfect bench saw. My old defective switch was just a strictly push button on & off and the exact replacement switch from the manufacture was very expensive. So I found this switch with the paddle off which will make my saw much safer to operate when or if i need to quickly stop the saw. But best of all this switch cost much, much less than the manufacturers switch and is a much safer design. It is rated for 30 Amps and can be wired up in either a 115 Volt or 220 Volt configuration. Bottom line is, I fully recommend this Push Button Switch as a replacement for your Bench Saw.
