I have my old 10 speed mounted on a trainer that I use during the winter. I live in a dry climate and my old tires literally were falling apart. Small chunks of rubber would fly off the rear tire hitting the wall, furniture, and anything (and anyone) else that was behind me. All I wanted was an inexpensive pair of tires to prevent the black splotches on the wall and this fit the bill perfectly! I'm glad I bought them, and so is everyone else in the house.

I can't get the tires onto my rims, no less with a tube. I could barely, after almost an hour, get just the one tire on without the tube, and almost broke the levers doing it. They're just to tight a fit. Like wrestling a bear. I've been buying tires and mounting them on my road bikes (I own over a dozen) for 25 years, and these just don't fit. These were rteplacing the same size tires on a 1988 SchwinnTraveler and a 1985 Fuji del Ray. First time I've had to even resort to a lever, and still can't get the tube to go with it. I gave up, and it took some doing to get the tire off. Imagine getting a flat on the open road and needing to fix it.

Just replaced my 10+ year-old tires with these and all appears to be fine - thanks! Having the tires, rim strips and tubes packaged together was handy too.
