This nib design is called "melon seed," and was popular in Asian pens a few decades ago. As such, it's an interesting relic, and with the right ink, might give a bit of flex. A very thick, slow ink. However, it's perfectly fine as easy to use everyday pen. The design is fun, with levered clip, slip cap, and a nice balance, but the fit and finish are not as good as today's Pilot pens which is why it got a "no" for good quality.

I bought it because of the style: the shape and the 50s (?) green body. The nib is intriguing because it looks like a beak: a folded piece of metal with a sharp divide in the middle. The nib is smooth with good flow. My only concern is that, for my hand, either the flow is too great or the nib is too broad. For me, it's pretty much a signature pen. But that's OK.

Very cheap feeling. Writes decently but not great, not even good.
