The pearson interaction extras for each chapter only worked well for the first three chapters. For the first three chapters it had a good mix of videos, audio clips, and scenarios with fun charts and graphs. Slowly, all these items just turned into more reading that just summarized what you just read. BIG WASTE OF TIME. Good idea but no follow-thru. Moreover, the book takes a very liberal approach to business management. To sum it up the authors seem to think that the individual and environment is more important then profits and the overall business. However all of the research done is done during an economic boom where companies had money to throw away. No significant research is done during economic downturns, stated by the authors in the greening of management chapter. The book had a lot of basics but all in all it is a big waste of time.Read full review
The best part about this text booko, especially if you are a commuter is that you can go to Vango Notes.Com and get the chapters on your portable media device (my iPod). This saved me hours of reading, although I had to purchase the audio notes also, it was worth every dime. The campanion website is a good too. I haven't tried to use ROLLS, because it seems that it may require more time than it is worth, but it may be useful if you have no instructer to lecture.
Bought it for a class. So far, it seems like a very good book. It gives a good description and is not very complicated to understand it. Gives good examples and situations to relate to things.
I am taking a class were I have to use this book. It has helped me a lot. Every term it is explain very accurately and focus in different ways so you can understand the meaning of each topic.
This book claims to be exactly the same but it is an international version. Although it is cheaper, you will plenty of headaches trying to follow along because everything is different. Plus information at the end of the chapters is not the same, and has made me borrow a different book and make copies. Poor and useless.
