The light cast isn't harsh like some uplighters, because of the graduated lip on the rim of the shade and the beautiful smoky marble effect of the glass. Love it 😊

Fairly light weight for its height so best place in a corner away from passing knocks. The only difficulty was the disintegrating polystyrene packaging which literally fell apart as it was removed. Thankfully, when I realised I took it outside to unpack and it left my backyard looking like a seasonally appropriate white christmas scene!!
