Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Tuning Pegs
The fit, finish, and quality is standard hipshot, which means no issues, and it works flawlessly. The system is based on a sliding plate which is activated by a levered cam. When activated, it will accurately drop a standard tuned E down to a C, and is fully adjustable to any point in between. I set mine to stop at a D. The lever can be flipped back and fourth, keeping both notes very close to in tune. The system is also very robust, and built to last many years. I have one on another Precision I put on in the mid 80's, and it's still going strong. The part fit in the existing holes, and everything lined up with my '94 Mexican Precision. Installation took less than five minutes, and came with all the needed parts for a new installation as well. The only issue and the reason I gave it four out of five stars, was because the slotted tuning peg did not match the style of the others on my headstock. To be fair, my Precision is a limited edition Black Label Squier Series (not a Squier though, completely different) with factory installed Schaller tuners instead of the typical Mexican tuners. This isn't a huge issue as it retro fit without issue, and works fine. I'm not sure if it matches standard Mexican tuners, but I would imagine it does based on the pictures I've seen. Never the less, it's a little different, but not enough to cause issue. In conclusion, these are wonderful tools to extent the range of an instrument, and quickly and easily activated. I actually flip it back and forth while playing songs, giving me access to lower notes. They won't replace a five string, but it's a great addition to a four string. Well worth the money. These go on all of my main players.Read full review

I play in a covers band, so switching between E and drop D happens regularly. This makes it so much easier, especially when the frontman mixes up the setlist and you don't have time tune up or tune down perfectly. This (BT7 model) perfectly fits my Indonesian-made Pete Wentz Signature Squier Precision Bass, and I'm sure I'll add one of these to any new bass guitars I pick up along the way.

Have used these things for years. Have them now on 3 of 4 Fenders. Easy to put on and set up. I now have a new bass that I'm just tuning down to D for now. To be honest once I llearned everything dropped down I never went back up. Great product and even if your handy they have video that is too easy to follow. Next project is stringing a 4 as a 5 and just eliminating the G string.

This is really helpful as in both my bands we have songs in drop D and songs in E. It is super easy to install & set up, and occasionally needs a quick "tune up", which is done in a matter of seconds. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is a tool that I will use heavily for a long time.
