It IS clear plastic, sorta rubbery. Allows phone color to show through. It fits my Samsung Galaxy S10 just fine. Not sure about anything else. I haven't dropped it yet to see if it is shockproof and I don't intend to try that; maybe yes but I didn't think anything was " 'proof' " these days. Call it 'marketing' or call it 'hype'. The listing said "silicone" but it also said "TPU". My info said that TPU was a Thermoplastic PolyUrethane, not silicone. Nevertheless it is a case for the phone.
