I should have checked the length more. I'm 6ft and can't comfortably use this as a cane. I took the handle off, cut the rod of a longer umbrella with an angle grinder, stuck the handle from this umbrella on it. Now I have a long umbrella with an ergonomic handle I can use as a cane properly. The umbrella sold here is not a bad umbrella, just shorter than I needed, but I needed that handle. I stuck the foam from the handle from my first umbrella on this one for a spare umbrella.

The product came with handle bent. So the integrity wasn't there to use as walking cane. Still works as just umbrella though but the locking mechanism is slightly broken too.
