    The heating element is well built. I am using it for fermenting Dosa/Idli batter (Indian foods). I used the mat under 30cm dia vessel to keep the batter warm. The whole thing kept in 50 litre styrofoam container. I found that the heat was not enough to bring the temp to 36C, but only 29C or so. But when I made the pad vertical beside the vessel, with a small fan I am able to achieve better temperature.

    This is even better than I expected, two plugs for two modes, one for heating if it gets below a temp, and the other for cooling if it gets too hot!
