About this product

Product Information

It's "people simulation" on the GameCube as the most popular PC title in the history of the industry moves to the realm of console gaming. Perhaps the most obvious difference, as the game moves from computer monitors to television screens, is the new graphics engine. The Sims for the Cube is completely 3D. There are several other changes as well though, focused on making the game engaging and appropriate for console-style play, with a controller instead of a keyboard.

Unlike the gradated progression of PC Sims, the Nintendo GameCube version of the game offers level-based play, in which new objects and houses are earned by reaching certain "life's big moments" goals. New objects must be "unlocked," instead of being available (but unaffordable) from the start of the game. The Sims for GCN also offers new characters and objects not featured in the home computer version of the game or its many expansion packs.

Excellent Seller. Arrived later than expected but that seems to be the case within USPS lately . Freight was high! Small -medium box $26.90? I just think for a package that size that’s extreme high freight.

Basic Sims game with fun nostalgia

The game is exactly how I remembered! It's not as good as The Sims Bustin' Out, but I have a lot of good memories playing this game. I used to have it for PS2. It's a very basic Sims game. The game came with the case and the little booklet, all in great condition. I'm very happy with the result.

  • Beware game is extremely addictive

Be prepared to be glued to your game system when you start playing SIMS. This game allows you to control another persons simulated life. You can choose the shade of skin to their zodiac sign. You may have conversations, throw wild parties, find a new job, hire a maid, remodel your home, etc. It does require a minium of 60 block of memory on the Nintendo Game Cube. The game isn't very fun if you are unable to save it. Do keep in mind this is not a game for children. Your SIMS may engage in so sexual acts...although you can not see what is going on the little guys are pretty vocal. This game is great for some one who like to play any of the other simulation type games (i.e. SimCity, RollerCoaster Tycoon, etc.) The difference is you are competing to be the best person you can become ...

  • Old Sims Plays Well on The Wii

This is the first version of Sims. Port for the GameCube. The Game maker was smart to included a GameCube Memory slot on to and input for the GameGude Controller that is need for you to play the game on the Wii. Unless you have the GameCube you have those items. That Another $30 to $40 added to the value of the Wii. But it a one time thing. Once you have those two items you could play any GameCube game on the Wii. This adds to the inventory and value of the Wii. As for the Sims. If you hook on Sims2 this will not add to you Sims experence. But it he early Sims and you see how everyone get started with theseries. I when to Target and purchased organizer four drawers wheel file cabrinet to throw al the Games and stuff for the Wii. You may need to also.

  • Good game

This is a pretty good game. I like the Get a Life mode because it presents you with a challenge, and the Play the Sims mode allows you to create a family with friends. My biggest problem with this game is probably that you can only have one Get a Life game on each memory card. If you decide you want to play with another Sim at the same time or one of your friends want to set up their own, it will erase the previous save unless you use a different memory card. Another down fall is that in Get a Life mode, you can't edit your Sims charcter once you've made them. Other than that, it's a game worth buying.

  • Took me right back to my better days as soon as the theme song played. Great game
