It's war! Watch those plastic, green, and tan toy-soldier figurines come to life and vie for supremacy in this squad-level real-time action/strategy hybrid. In Army Men, you take on the role of Sarge, a grizzled veteran leading his troops through desert, alpine, and bayou settings, grabbing weapon power-ups and blasting your way to victory. Call in air strikes and paratrooper drops. Steal tanks and jeeps for destructive uses. Almost everything can be destroyed in this gasoline-soaked world. Soldiers die in a manner appropriate to the weapon that killed them: rifles break off plastic limbs, flame-throwers melt them into puddles of goo, and rockets send them flying into little bits. Both action and strategy elements are in abundance.

    Really neat more or less.

    I bought this game because I have Army Men 2 and 3, and suddenly wanted to collect like every Army Men game. I got all the "World War" ones, anyway, but also got this PC game. The game is pretty fun, though the multiplayer needed respawns for soldiers and the single player needed to give the player more teammates. In the second and third games, the player always has lots and lots of soldiers, so I kind of assumed the first game would also have lots of soldiers for the player, but for some reason he's alone a lot. It's also annoying how the player can't get AI to drive vehicles, like if the player has two tanks in multiplayer, he must drive one and can't tell his soldiers to drive the other, so his second tank just sits there being useless. They just didn't do much to make it feel really ...

    Army Men

    While compared to today's graphics this game would be lacking. But for the fact of this game having been made in 1998 the graphics are, well, GREAT. The campaign mode is pretty intense. Although the multiplayer sounds interesting, i was unable to find any other players due to the age of the game.

    Army Men Gameboy Game

    my son LOVES this game. i love it becuase it is military (which my family is big on) but theres no blood. it's plastic green and tan army men. when they are "hit" they melt. very fun game.

    Computor Game purchase

    This was a computor game for my son that he really is enjoying. It appeared to be exactly what he wanted and the item was in like new condtion
