I purchased this monitor after Buying a Dell 32" curved monitor. Using the HDMI cable the most I could get was 30 Hertz, also the stand height on the Dell Monitor was not high enough. I could not get use to the curve doing documents and using CAD Programs. May be just me I don't know, so I bought the Samsung Monitor. It has 60 Hertz using HDMI 2.0, Portrait and Landscape rotating screen view. The stand also allows a higher monitor height in landscape view. It has more Professional features than the Dell and after setting it up and adjusting the colour settings. I was happy with the colour. I purchased it as it was considerably discounted and it suits my needs.

I was looking for a Thunderbolt monitor that does not break the bank. This is the only monitor that I can find that meets my requirement. Excellent work from Samsung to produce a Thunderbolt monitor in this price range. I used it with my M1 MacBook Pro on as my main monitor in a 3 monitor setup. There is more than enough power from the monitor to charge the computer through the Thunderbolt cable. The monitor works perfectly for me a business and leisure, with plenty of real estate. Brightness, colour and sharpness is not an issue for me as I do not need IPS quality.

Initially I was looking at a super- wide screen monitor however what I really need to do is to put two A4 documents side by side and the Samsung TU87F 4K monitor enabled me to do that. Connectivity Thunderbolt 3 is perfect with my A1 Mac Mini and it is super bright so much so I had to dial down the brightness to avoid glare. To sum up, yes I'm really happy with the image quality and I judge it to be a good purchase.
