    Good and cheap CPU for testing x99 motherboards.

    I picked this cheap Xeon up because I came across a Rampage V Extreme that was priced too good to pass up but I didn’t have a CPU for it. Well the Xeon E5-2620 v3 runs well and it performs basic tasks just fine. I was able to boot the system with the RVE up and had no issues. All cores run at 2.6ghz despite the CPU being listed at 2.4ghz. I tried to raise the multiplier to 30 but the OS still runs the CPU at 2.6ghz.

    pretty good but difficult to setup

    its pretty good, however unlocking the full turbo speed of 3.2ghz was slightly difficult.
