    Good but can be improved

    The intercooler was fitted to an e46 330d with an electric fan conversion. The intercooler has been very well made but when it came to fitting it was a little less straightforward than one would have thought. Unfortunately the Dremmel had to come out to increase the slot size on the brackets so that it could be hung from the bolts. Then it was found that the intercooler went on a little skewed and in order for the intercooler and radiator to be parallel some washers had to be used. In addition to this, the pipes on the intercooler were extremely tight on the brake ducts and the coolant reservoir which made getting the pipes on pretty difficult. The unit had to be shifted over so that it wouldn't cause the coolant drain pipe to split. Now for the good stuff; It looks superb and it allows ...
