About this product

Product Information

John Travolta returns as a pumped-up Tony Manero in this sequel to the 1977 hit movie, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. Tony is now a struggling dancer/instructor, looking for his big break in a Broadway show. When he finally lands a small role, personal problems come to the fore as he finds himself torn between two women: Jackie (Cynthia Rhodes, DIRTY DANCING), his loyal girlfriend, and Laura (Finola Hughes), the musical's attractive and flirtatious star. Sylvester Stallone directed and co-wrote the screenplay.

  • Role Model for Sexiness in Straight Men!

Thats right! In a straight guy here and believe cell phone talking in straight males is gay, but JOHN in this movie is super cool and full on male. I'll tell you why - he exudes a sexiness that men at the time DID not have an issue with. Men WERE sexy and did their best to be SEXY for WOMEN. Now, there's a lot of bravado and supposed male macho-isms in popular culture that I think men are INSECURE of themselves. Anyway, if you look at the movie in another way - in terms of how Stallone's health and body fitness was rubbed on Johns portrayal of surviving and being hungry. I agree that the movie should of showed more of Johns trying to survive in the big city and staying alive in anyway. But its a fun 80's movie. Lots of great music and 80's visual and a really good steady pace.
