This is a very good overview of Elton John's career, covering 1965-1990. It's a terrific companion to his recent Jewel Box compilation. TBC focuses on the Greatest Hits of his career on MCA, with a few new songs from 1990. The Jewel Box focuses a great amount on the '60s with additional B sides, deep cuts & rarities. I used to have it on cassette, but I found it so essential that I bought it again! If you're new to Elton, great place to start.

This album set was in amazingly superb condition...contents of Elton John 4-CD set awesome. The bonus booklet and poster, again, wonderful to have. The sound was terrific...brings back great memories .

There are some songs on the collection where the live version was used instead of the studio version. I much prefer the studio version as that is what I am familiar with. Live versions go better with the whole performance, in my opinion. So, if you don't mind a few live versions mixed in, then this can work for you. Otherwise, Diamonds (3CD Edition) might work out better for you, but it just doesn't contain as much.

Excellent hard to find Elton John boxed set from his ''epic years'' when he ruled the world. All the hits plus some outstanding outakes. No duds or filler on this 4 cd set Highly recommend.

I wish I would have gotten one from the original limited addition with issue date of 1990. That was the one that got destroyed the my son got for me when he was in the military. So I feel I have a second best, not the same product by getting the release of 2000. I did not understand at the time what I had ordered.
