Excellent product - ideal for converting those old memories to PC
I purchased this camera because I wanted a camera that could playback Hi8mm cassette tapes and transfer them to PC via fire wire. I have tested the camera out and it performs excellently with the quality of video on PC very good. It has an inbuilt time base correcter (TBC) and Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) which improve the picture quality. It is one of the best "older" camcorders on the market and is ideal for getting all those old memories from tape into a digital format.I purchased this camera because I wanted a camera that could playback Hi8mm cassette tapes and transfer them to PC via fire wire. Below average performance
I believe that the heads on this camera are not as good as they should be and being the most important part of the camera then that makes the use of the camera very limited particularly in playback
