I have 2 Rescue's. A 16* and a 21*. I gave up my long irons, my 3-wood and a 5-wood to play just these two and I added another wedge, which is much better for a 6 handicapper than a long iron or fairway wood. My scores are better now and I have an easy time deciding what to hit. This 16* Rescue is great off the tee box and from the fairway. It's also much, much more accurate than anybody's 3-wood, not just mine. Fades and draws are easier and hooks from behind trees are no problem. I cannot slice this thing. I've tried ;-) Get rid of your long irons and fairways wood and get a couple of Rescue's!
The Rescue 16-deg 2-Hybrid is adjustable for standard, higher, and lower loft. From the old Nike website the standard setting is a bit open, so if you want to square the face at address you have to move it a click toward higher. You do not have to buy a TaylorMade wrench; a regular T-25 Torx screwdriver or wrench will do. The grip is round so that the hosel can be rotated, but the grip is worldwide standard diameter, which is SMALLER than American standard. So you might want a mid-sized grip upon it. The shaft is functional and non-obtrusive, and the white crown with black face has gained wide acceptance. The clubhead is pretty much standard length and shape for a hybrid. But the real measure of a high dollar hybrid is how it performs, and this club is absolutely AVERAGE. It is not longer, nor is it particularly straighter than other hybrids. Its trajectory is average; its sound is average. One is paying a lot of money for the TaylorMade marketing and getting a serviceable, but not spectacular hybrid. So its cost vs. performance is not as good as other premium hybrids. I know the Wilson Staff D100 and Nike Covert (original and 2.0) are superior. The adjustable Cobra Amp Cell is worse than the TaylorMade Rescue because of ballooning and fade tendencies.Read full review
The Taylormade Rescue 11 hybrid is a great club for all handicaps. I'm a high-handicapper and I still think the club's great. It is easy to get up in the air and it amazing at tearing through the rough. It is a great replacement for long irons and fairway woods alike. It can hit any shot you can imagine. I would recommend it very highly to anyone of any skill level looking for more disttance, forgiveness, and workibility.
Has a good feel. I like the trajectory I'm able to produce with the combination of shaft and clubhead. Seems to be more stable than others I've hit. The adjustable face angle allows you to either compensate for bad shots or encourage a certain shot shape.

I had to drop down to regular shafts because my swing speed isn't what it used to be, and I've lost some distance also. This club is a blessing for shots anywhere from 180 to 200 yds. It's easier to hit from the rough and from the fairway or a tight lie I can work the ball almost as well as my old forged 3 iron. TaylorMade sure knows how to build golf clubs.
Rescues are great clubs to make up yardage on missed hit shots. Loft adjustment makes one...or two.... Or three less clubs to carry.

Great club ! , I quickly dialed in the adjustable hosel for my swing and was able to hit it right down the middle for a Parr on my first drive with it!.

Easily one of the best hybrids I have owned. It's sits square and just launches the ball. It launches high and can be worked either way.

Very smooth, balanced club. It's very versatile so I'm quick to pull it out of the bag either off the tee, on the fairway, or out of the rough.

Great Club. Very easy to hit straight with excellent work-ability. Nice look to with the white crown. It is a little hotter than my original 18* Nike sumo^2 but that was easily taken care of by increasing the loft a little to get the desired distance to cover my 3 iron.
