Convincing both men that they are Tristan's true father, she sends these two incompatible characters to the South of France in search of their 'son'with neither Franois nor Jean aware they are searching for the same boy. In their second film together, Richard, Depardieu and director Veber demonstrate their impeccable comic talent to great success.Synopsis - Fugitifs, Les (1986) Gerard Depardieu is a bank robber recently released from prison and determined to go straight. When a trip to the bank is interupted by a moron robbing the joint and taking Gerard hostage, his life isn't exactly going how he planned. When Gerard is mistakenly assumed to be the thief and the duo are hunted by the cops, the moron's mute daughter comes into play and Gerard, rather than fight for his innocence, fights for the girl's safety.
