A political-romantic thriller by Alan J. A marginal movie, at best.
No awards for this movie, but interesting for those with degrees in business, banking, or accounting. An understanding of the financial industry and markets should be a prerequisite for your enjoyment and understanding of the movie plot. Kris Kristofferson and Jane Fonda are almost believable. Kristofferson rightly earned a Razzy for this flick. But then again, he is probably a better writer and musician than he is an actor. Others have varying opinions of Jane Fonda, as well.No awards for this movie, but interesting for those with degrees in business, banking, or accounting. Accurate title
Interesting storyline of international financial relationships reflecting early 80's world markets & political overtones. Entire plot development could have been scripted differently to minimize the "love" interest between Fonda & Kristofferson, not really necesary to the storyline. Compare this outline to the present-day financial-political positions of oil approaching historical lows, with Middle Eastern countries having to renegotiate their budgets to offset the price of oil. One of the few financial science fictions around. The idea of the Arab ministers & financiers dealing & negotiating with a woman in the early 80's does not fit their ideals & philosophies at that timeInteresting storyline of international financial relationships reflecting early 80's world markets & political overtones.
