Right when I got the package from the post office I couldn't tear the box open faster to get to this little chewy sweet center out from all the polish newspapers and foreign writing. As soon as i held the original LC-A (not the LSI remake) in my hand I was in love! It was way smaller than I expected, which I was more than happy about. I even brought a roll of expired film with me to the post office just so I could take some pictures on the way back! You can imagine how long it took me to finish off a roll and rush it to the nearest Sam's Club to get it developed. In developing them I realized that in a lot of the pictures the focus is off, but that is one thing you have to get used to when using a new camera- especially a toy camera in which you pretty much have to guess the focusing. Other than that the pictures were fun, colorful and slightly vignetted (honestly I wouldn't mind a little more) as you would expect from a toy cam. I would have to say the only things I wish it had was the capability of is using 800+ speed film and producing multiple exposures (which the LSI version has both). I just couldn't bring myself to pay $250 dollars on lomography.com just for those features (and a couple more) when you can buy a more sturdy ACTUALLY Russian (MADE IN USSR) classic Commie version of the LC-A for about < $130 on e-vilbay lol. All in all, I love my Ломо ЛК-А. Why pay way too much for a remake when you can pay just a little too much for the original :).Read full review
This camera (not slr, in spite of seller's title) old russian design probably copied from ancient german sources, now exploited by austrian company called lomographic. Made in st petersburg (former leningrad) and evolved in several models. This comera is an early late model 2 (or 3) depending on whether original lc (n0n-autmat ) is counted as 1 or 1/2. Unlike model 3 (or 4) this one has no tripod mount or provision for attaching cable release to shutter button. But it does have manual aperture control which later model does not. Kamra always chooses shutter speed, hence automat. focus by scale, with nifty pictures in viewfindr to help asses distance. thumbwheel winder retro and very heavy for size, lc-a built like miniature tank or tankette. I like this camera for art but not for much else, but that is okay because art is what i do.Read full review
I ordered the Lomo LC-A+ RL and received it the very next day. The camera is ridiculously addictive and fun. It's like a toy. The multiple exposure button is a great feature. It takes long exposures at night, which look great if you use a tripod. Simple and easy to use. Takes nice photos.

Absolutely great! Quality soviet build! It has a surprisingly nice weight to it for a camera that looks almost entirely plastic. A blast to shoot with. Great for street photography, but also great for just carrying in your back pocket and snapping shots as they unfold. The zone focusing is simple and fun. the auto mode is totally acceptable for negative film, but may be a *bit* too hot for E-6 slides. That's okay, I'm sure the more I use it the batteries will drain and the exposure will correct itself (laughs). I'm having a great time shooting it. The lens is gorgeous and dreamy. Wide enough to capture a great scene and not worry too much about composition when you're out in the moment. I actually slipped and fell HARD on this in my back pocket, I though for sure I'd broken something, especially the lens. But, the quality is great and it's just fine. Not exactly weatherproof, but I'm not one to shoot in the rain or snow... Definitely a great camera for anyone, beginner or experienced. So much fun. Sometimes it's best to just set and forget. This is the camera to do it. You'll fall in love with this camera, from the look, to the feel, to the ease of shooting and the results! Highly recommended! Read full review

I love the compactness and ease of use with this camera. Some have complained about getting blurry shots, this is due to the zone focusing method used in order to properly focus your subject. I've only used it a couple times so far (just got it) but I only got 3 blurry shots because I forgot to adjust the focus before shooting. Once you learn your distances it's perfect. Shots were actually sharper than expected with this lens, the colors are beautifully vibrant ( I used cheap fuji film 400). It is great in low light because of it's 2.8 aperture, love the ability to use a shutter with a cord for super sharp photos. This is my 4th lomo camera and absolutely a quick favorite. As some have said you either love it or hate it. My main draw to this camera was the high saturation in colors and slight vignetting at the photo edges, what a cool look. Also the ability to double expose is always a fun touch. Depending on where you get yours it may come with a kit, got mine with the new LCA big book. All I can say is WOW!Read full review

This product was more than I expected. The camera is fab....it takes the most fabulous art photos. The camera has the wide angle lens and a leather case. It has been my constant companion. The color and unusual depth of field has set my creativity rolling. It is a solid well made camera and is small enough to go everywhere. Lomo on the go!
First of all I bought this camera knowing almost all about it, I expected a good camera but was even better, I love it. Some positive things about this camera: great lens not expensive at all black body (good for street photography) easy to use not too heavy long exposures multiple exposures The only negative thing about it, it's that isn't built in flash but isn't a negative thing at all, because with an external flash it can do amazing and creative things. If you like analog cameras for sure you will like it!
This Lomo LC-A camera is in great condition. It is a fun and easy to use 35 mm film camera, who won't dissapoint you, once you know what kind of pictures to espect. You'll get very saturated pictures, with (dark) vigneted borders. Sometimes slightly out of focus, sometimes with crazy colours, but always great pictures. The interesting thing about this Russian camera is that every picture is unique, youll get pictures with caracter. It is the backbone of the Lomographic movement (check it out, learn what it is with a Google search) If you are looking for a fine pictures camera, then this is not for you. With this camera you'll get fun and very colourfull pictures, not always with natural colours. I'm a digital photographer myself, and I haven't had so much fun with a camera in years until I got this one. Don't wait, go get one. You won't regret it. ListenRead phoneticallyRead full review
