Inheritance to be earned
The movie was entertaining. There were some dark scenes that made it hard to follow the story. Beautiful scenery in Montana mountains. The book would have probably been better . Nora Roberts is a great author.

I love Nora Roberts. I hadn't discovered her until a couple of years ago and once I realized what I was missing out on, I grabbed all I could. You could imagine my extreme happiness when I realized some of them had been turned into movies. Montana Sky was a little hard to get through because it involves 3 half sisters who move in together and Roberts gives each sister a lot of detail. It was still a really great read, but just really long. As I read the novel, Willa and Ben quickly became my favorite characters. I could NOT wait to see the movie version. In my head, Ben McKinnon was a rugged, handsome cowboy and John Corbett just didn't come up to snuff. Neither did Ashley Williams. As an avid reader, I think my downfall is that not only do I fall in love with the story, but the ... I love Nora Roberts. Absolutely NONE of that was in the movie. Any Nora Roberts novel is awesome. The movies....eh. I would still recommend this to a friend because every opinion will be different and everything deserves a chance.

Finally a Fabulous Television Production
Let me first say that I have not read the book Montana Sky by Nora Roberts so I do not know how the film holds up in comparison. But when taken on it's own this made for TV production is of the highest quality. Again, this is a made for television movie and is of different quality then the big blockbuster movies we are used to. If you are a Nora Roberts fan, a Montana Sky fan, or simply a fan of quality TV programming then it simply doesn't get much better than this. There are a few story lines going on all at once, which I enjoy because it allows me to become involved with all of the characters in the story, not just with the main man & woman. There is romance, the building of the sisters relationships with one another, a murder mystery & the most beautiful scenery I have seen in a TV ... Good story, good acyors
This movie begins as a family reunites for the reading of a will. Three half sisters are required to live together for a year. As the sisters become a family, another disturbing storyline surfaces with some twists and turns. There is also romance for all albeit unwelcome in some cases at least at first.
