Another Side of Ludwig
This volume, printed in both German and English on alternating pages, displays Wittgenstein's thoughts on certainty near the end of his life. Still the compulsive philosopher atthe time of its writing, this book indicates a subtle change of direction from his more pragmatic Tractatus and Philosophical Investigations toward a sense of idealism. Seen in this light, both the man and his work gain new resonance.This volume, printed in both German and English on alternating pages, displays Wittgenstein's thoughts on certainty near the end of his life. Anyone with an interest in philosophy should definitely consider reading!
I bought this book for a philosophy class and ended up finishing it in one day. Unlike other books you are usually forced to read for your classes, I actually really enjoyed reading this one. It is very well written and raises some very interesting questions worth pondering about.
