I remember when the first Van Halen album came out...I was in High School and it was like nothing else. When I rank best to worst, with Van Halen it's easy because while the first 3 are all great albums...I have to say they got gradually, steadily less great with each release. I had 4 many years ago and sold it...upon further review, it's my 4th favorite Van Halen record. I've recently read "Running with the Devil" great book by V.H. mgr for the first five years. Also, I reread "Crazy from the Heat" a book by David Lee Roth. If you enjoy the first 3, you'll want, you'll like 4. But "Fair Warning" it's not as "good" as the first 3.

Nothing cheesy at all. Every song is quality. Plus it's less than 40 minutes. No time to get bored. Did I mention the opening guitar part to Mean Street?...LEGENDARY!!!

This is a good album but not as good top to bottom as VH I or II. It does have one of their very best songs in Unchained. One foot out the Door is a lost gem on this album. Rest of the album is just OK. At 31 min. you have to wonder if they were running short on creativity at this point. Still a good one to have in your music collection.

The last studio album of the early Van Halen / Roth era, when in my opinion , they were the best. !!!! You can’t go wrong buying this cd .
