Like all good short stories = A great afternoon film.
I love Paris, and all things French. This is one of those films you look at, talk about, and contemplate your own take on Paris. Its a great city, very diverse, this film exploits that fact. Yes its full of famous directors and actors, but its all for the love of Paris France, period end of story. Spend an afternoon in Paris, for the shear pleasure, this is the film that will take you there. Challenging but excellent.
Eighteen short films in one two-hour movie. Some are so-so, some excellent, one or two great. Enjoyed the whole thing very much.

"Paris, Je T'aime," premiering at Cannes in 2006, is a delightful artistic compilation of twenty-two directors, from the Coen Brothers to Gurinder Chadha, who were each given five minutes to create/shoot tales of love, showcasing Parisian neighborhoods (arrondissements). American, British, and French movie stars populate eighteen varied comic, tragic, magical, and fantastic stories of the heart told in a mixture of French and English. (I turned on subtitles in the set up.)
