The necklace is smaller than the model shown, not tiny by any means. However maybe 2/3 the size you would think. No mark on the metal to denote sterling or plate. The clasp is secure and works well. However the medium size gems are cloudy, scratched on the back and a different material than the large/small gems. They go whitish instead of dazzling like the others and there are scratches on the facets that show through the back. Really fun, wouldn't buy again for the price as the gems don't match
