Wonderful Versatile Stereo Receiver - works great
Onkyo is a great product - hooked to Polk Speakers - Sounds Great - Great versatility for a straight stereo receiver I am using to receive output from a 100 cd changer which I've wanted to years - I have approx 1200 CDs - some of which I haven't heard in years!!! Great sounds from my collection!!

One of the BEST two channel stereo receivers out there!
You won't find many like this - it does what a STEREO receiver should do and it does it with perfection. It sounds fantastic where I am using it - we use it for entertainment in a commercial kitchen (all that fancy multi-channel capability doesn't mean a thing when you can't meticulously place speakers and tune the setup. We run our Dahlquist QX-5A mains with a Klipsch RW-8 sub and we have awesome sound to make the day pass fast! Excellent quality - excellent engineering and tons of power! The tuner section is awesome too - we are able to get KSHE-95 now and we never could tune it in without static until this tuner. Overall - completely satisfied.You won't find many like this - it does what a STEREO receiver should do and it does it with perfection. What a great classic Onkyo receiver! I have everything running through this "vintage" classic. Yes I said everything: TV, DVD player, VHS player, CD player, Turntable, and four speakers. This was exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier.

2nd 8555 I have had, first one died on me and replaced it with a Harmon Kardon unit which did not seam to sound as good. the HK died and I bought this on hoping it would work. Once alive it confirmed that it was superior to the HK, you can hear every instrument being played during a song, even the gentle sounds in the background. The source had a second one listed and I was going to buy it but it was gone when I looked.
