    thrilling drama

The acting was very good by Jason and Joel - the story was a different take on revenge/getting even. It was a slow, steady buildup with a few red herrings thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately purchased my own copy and watched it again when it arrived. It is an interesting mix of drama, marriage, suspense, mystery, etc. Highly recommend it.

The Gift that doesn't keep giving.

I like Rebecca Hall a lot, but I didn't find this film especially compelling. The plot became increasingly implausible, and in the end the only character I cared about was the put upon goodhearted wife, played by Ms. Hall. Two & a half to at most 3 stars.

  • More vengeance needed to be exacted

It was pretty good movie i would've liked if the guy who was bullied by Jason bateman to be lil more creepier and ruined Jason Batemans life a lil more but over all a good flick worth watching a second or third time

  • The Gift

I loved everything about the movie. The stranger was willing to let go of his past, but the past never changed for him. The high school bully was still a bully. I know that everyone probably thought that it was the strange man that was the person starting the problems, but to everyone's surprise the villain was the wealthy good looking guy, with his perfect life style. I guess you can look at it like that. In this movie you the viewer can cheer for the villain or the good looking guy in his perfect little world, but at the end the good guy looses everything. Great movie.
