this has taken out a MASSIVE load of work for me. Now I only have to tune the bed level once and can make very small alterations on the fly as I print with different materials.

Installed on CR-10 with Creality V1.1.5 board. I used the firmware from TH3D. Due to memory limitation of 8-bit board, the Gcode and LCD support are limited but BLTouch works great still. The best thing is, the kit provides the extension cable and one extra BLTouch probe pin. That will save you money to buy later. Even you have CR-10 V2 or Ender 3 V2, you still can use this kit with 3rd party firmware (I guess Creality firmware with BLTouch for these V2 printers will need BLTouch V2 kit because of the extension cable they provide). By the way, I didn't use their ISP burning tool because the Creality V1.1.5 board already came with a boot loader. Therefore, you can just flash the firmware using Arduino IDE with USB cable.

Tried two other alternative equivalents, but the resolution was too poor to be useful. The original BLTouch worked immediately and consistently after installing. Even if your bed is level and stable, the BLtouch used as the Z homing device makes for print bed support changes a snap. PEI to glass to other, no changing the bed leveling wheels, the BLtouch will home to the height of each bed. Worth the money just for that feature!

If manual bed leveling is a PITA, then consider an original BL Touch ABL. Be sure to check your main board serial number to get the right upgrade. After some tweaking of the firmware and Cura settings, printer works like a champ!

I put this on an Ender 3 V2. Easy install and works as intended. But ................ If you have a flat bed, like a glass one, it really isn't all that useful. Do a proper bed level (that means don't warp the glass with one corner spring too tight) and you won't need one of these toys. I suppose it might save a print if I bump something and don't notice? A glass bed should only have 3 level springs/screws.
