I love this camera, it takes good pictures and pretty easy to use. There are still some buttons I need to figure out, like how to turn the flash off but still easier than most. I really needed the cord to download into the computer. Works great!

Samsung Digimax S500
Bought because my $300 point& shoot broke down after 4 months. I have already had 2 S500 and have the software and manuals. This camera is easy to operate and has a faster shutter response than any of my 5 other digital point and shoot cameras. I am frequently in dusty environments and all 5 point and shoot with movable lenses had problems with the lenses fully opening and closing. This affected battery life. Not really sure.
The camera I purchased, unlike 2 previously purchased and returned, seems to work, but I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. At least it turns on and opens and would appear that it is going to work as it is supposed to work. If it does work correctly, I'll love it....had one for several years that was absolutely great. Hope this one is, too.
