I have used this lens for macro photography and haven't used it since I changed my gear to mirrorless. The lens shows minor wear and tear. The lens is in excellent working condition. This is a fully manual focus lens with no focus ring.

Persistence and practice will be rewarded
It is not an easy lens to use requiring time, patience and practice but when you get it right you can get some fabulous photographs that enable you the channel your creative juices or just get a record of what little things look like close up depending on your inclination. But you will need a tripod at the very least and if you want to take advantage of the 5x magnification some form of focus rail.

It takes time to get used to using but its worth it. A brilliant lens. I fond that I had to change the way I usually focus the use of a slider makes focusing so much easier
