  • Solid basic textbook to all aspects of space technology.

For a basic introduction to the study of space, there is no better textbook by far. The is Third Edition, so while it is a little dated, either the Second or Third Edition are still good values. I also liked the history given to various aspects of space. There is a newer Fourth Edition to this textbook, but it is a tad pricey like newer edition textbooks are in general, and it probably does not add much that one cannot get from the Internet in general. The one disappointment is that the website to this book is no longer active, so there is no interaction to your learning, it is all self-study.

Great read on everything getting to and maneuvering in space. The book is a bit old, so don't expect everything to be up to date. But still very interesting stuff and good explanations with helpfull illustrations, really made it easier to understand.
