The Wonder Oil !
I've used this oil for years and it's still just as useful and Wonderful as it has always been. When I go to my son's farm, I cover my skin with Skin So Soft. I'm talking about everything is covered. When the days work is through, I have no chigger bites, no ticks on my skin, even the poison ivy seems to be less of a problem! I noticed also, and I'm not sure about it, but my arms didn't burn as much while on the mower in the sun for hours! So, you already have chigger bites and they are red, swollen, itchy and you can't sleep. Not a problem. Take a Q-tip and soak it in Skin So Soft. Rub onto the chigger bite in a circular manner. Re-soak the Q-tip and rub in the opposite direction; making sure that the oil penetrates your skin pores. Go to sleep and rest. I always purchase the large bottle as shown here. Your dogs and cats will love it on their skin as well. In fact, after their bath rub some oil into their skin or make another bath with warm water and Skin So Soft for them to immerse into. Fleas hate SSS by the way. I was seriously thinking of purchasing a WD-40 hand pumped oil spray bottle just for SSS. Why you ask, it can be applied to your legs, front and back, more easily and quickly. The same goes for the rest of your body. Just keep it from your face. Have someone else spray your back. We shall see on that idea. Maybe the makers of SSS (Avon) should sell a sprayer for this product. How about that Avon? Oh, I almost forgot, it makes all your skin smoother and healthier by its moisturizing. It penetrates well and you're not oily all day after applying it. What more could you ask for. Skin So Soft goes right up there with great products like WD-40 (not for your skin by the way) and my favorite, Marvel Mystery Oil. Needs different cap on bottle
This is the real Skin So Soft Oil. It is a great price for such a big bottle. The only thing wrong is that the bottle only has a screw cap on it. When you try to get a bit out, it spills all over. Newer version not as good as the old one, but works!!
I had a very old bottle of Avon Skin So Soft which I decided to use on my horse who has an allergic reaction to midges and causes him to itch like crazy. He had rubbed much of his mane and tail out from the intense itching. I noticed a tremendous difference when I started putting the SSS on the dock of his tail and on the area of the mane that he rubbed so much! I was thrilled to see some improvement and began to search for some more, knowing I would run out soon! This was the best price that I could find which included the shipping and received the product quickly. I feel that the "new" original formula has changed from that very old bottle that I had bought many, many years ago. It still seems to be helping, but I have to apply everyday, where I was applying it every other day with that old bottle. It also seems to not be as oily and more water soluble. It still has been the best thing that I have ever used for this specific allergy (I have tried EVERYTHING) and has given Otis much relief. It may be a great bath oil but it is an outstanding way to get stain, paint, tar, polyurethane off your hands and brush!
This is the best stuff I have found to take all the above mentioned stuff off your hands and brushes. It is why I buy in bulk and is mild on my hands. Never run out
I love this stuff; I am a bather ; don't do showers much and I use this stuff daily. Great insect repellent
Here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan insects are a major problem. I tried several repellents containing DEET to no avail. A logger told me about Skin So Soft and I thought he was kidding me. I eventually tried it and it works great. Have used it for years. Tried imitations that also contains DEET and this works as good and doesn't irritate like the others can.
