    Runs Legacy Windows Software That WIN 10 Won't

    Well, our office finally upgraded to WIN 10 and several of the programs I use (that have not been updated but ran OK under WIN 7 32 bit), are no longer even recognized by WIN 10. Even the files cannot be converted. Solution, buy a legacy laptop like the D630 and just use it for my legacy programs. Now that I have had some time to compare it to the latest PCs, it holds its own very nicely. The legacy software installs easily, connection to the internet is faster than I expected, and tonight I'll be checking to see if it can recognize a 4 GB SD card. I don't plan to run any modern "bloatware" programs on this machine. Based on my Surface tablets, it's not nearly as pretty or light but it sure works well and I haven't had anywhere near the issues that I have had with WIN 10. The Dell ...

    Dell 620 Vintage System

    This versatile computer does all i wanthwithout having to wait for everthing to ge done..... upgraded to win10 without any problems. does run office related products. WiFi is slow but functions well. It is not a fast computer, but then i donot need a fast system for office meeds.

    When you need an older OS to run something...D630 works

    The Dell Latitude D630 is tough to beat. I have dropped them, taken them on trips, replaced the HDD, the Bluetooth, swapped out the Wireless card, and done more repairs than I like to think about...but for older tech, these things keep on working and working. It isn't as light as a newer model, but it is rugged enough to take some bumps, and the battery life is reasonable. Hard to beat this line.

    Oldie but goodie.

    I like this laptop for its durability and built-in ports. Dual core makes it move long fairly quickly and it is good for travel and smaller tasks. If you're editing video or thinking about gaming, you'll be stymied by the 4gb RAM limit and only moderate horsepower, but it's still a good value.
