Synopsis
Robert Conley's history of the Cherokees is the first to be endorsed by the Cherokee Nation and to be written by a Cherokee., The Cherokee Nation is one of the largest and most important of all the American Indian tribes. The first history of the Cherokees to appear in over four decades, this is also the first to be endorsed by the tribe and the first to be written by a Cherokee. Robert Conley begins his survey with Cherokee origin myths and legends. He then explores their relations with neighboring Indian groups and European missionaries and settlers. He traces their forced migrations west, relates their participations on both sides of the Civil War and the wars of the twentieth century, and concludes with an examination of Cherokee life today. Conley provides analyses for general readers of all ages to learn the significance of tribal lore and Cherokee tribal law. Following the history is a listing of the Principal Chiefs of the Cherokees with a brief biography of each and separate listings of the chiefs of the Eastern Cherokees and the Western Cherokees. For those who want to know more about Cherokee heritage and history, Conley offers additional reading lists at the end of each chapter., The Cherokee Nation is one of the largest and most important of all the American Indian tribes. - 2***l (388)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI buy used blu ray movies almost exclusively. When a great title comes to me, at a great price, responsibly shipped in bubblewrap, I know the seller's smart, and responsible, and their efforts are worthy of our business. A++, all around..! Thanks, Goodwill of Northwest North Carolina..! Let's do this again..! 👋😁👌
- i***l (1344)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchasefrom reading his feedback, i see this seller always UNDER-rates the condition of his books. they are usually in BETTER condition than listed. he also ships fast. so one can be confident that the condition of a book from this seller will be AT LEAST as good as described, usually BETTER, and shipped promptly. the book i just received is in EXCELLENT condition, but was only listed as "acceptable". wish all book sellers were as honest as this one. won't hesitate to buy from him again!Basics of Biblical Greek Workbook (#235898226302)
- _***a (31)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseNo stock photo in the listing, which was ultimately not needed due to the accurate description of being 'still in manufacturer wrapping'. Product was in new condition, being listed by the seller as like-new (perhaps because of a slight dent in the slipcover). Shipped very fast. Very happy with my purchase. Would purchase from seller again.Cinderella [Two-Disc Diamond Edition Blu-ray DVD Combo in DVD Packaging] (#235867784980)
