Synopsis
The mysterious legacy of defence attorney Andy Carpenter's late father has made him a rich man - 22 million dollars rich, to be exact. But as Andy relaxes in his office, imagining ways to spend his money, he has an unexpected visitor: a stranger who confesses to decapitating and burning a man - coolly relaying on the confidentiality of attorney-client privilege. When an innocent man is charged with the crime, Andy decides to take on the case. But the case becomes personal when, in a stunning development, Andy's client is exonerated and his girlfriend, Laurie Collins, is accused of the crime. When the man who originally confessed to the murder turns up dead, Andy realises that this is much bigger than one crime. Who committed the murders? Who framed Laurie? In the case of his life, Andy must prove Laurie's innocence in this thrilling mystery from the always inventive David Rosenfelt

Great seller, book as described, thank you. Separate to this, eBay's International Shipping service from the US to the UK cost me $29 which is pretty punchy given that the book isn't very big or heavy. The benefit to me for paying this was that the book took two and a half weeks to arrive. eBay bullies sellers into using this service notwithstanding the fact that it is barely fit for purpose. Consequently, I will now not buy from sellers who use eBay's International Shipping service.

Fast delivery, sturdy packing, and reasonable price on a hard-to-find book. The book was in excellent shape, as good as or better than described. An enjoyable transaction all around.

Best eBay seller I’ve ever come across. They even included a custom, embossed bookmark with my favorite Stephen King quote to accompany the pristine, 1st edition company of “Pet Sematary,” I purchased from them. Expectations were wildly exceeded in terms of my item’s condition and quality to boot. Communication was prompt and very pleasant to say the least. Prices and negotiation were more than fair! Would do business with them 100 times over!

  • Great follow-up to Open and Shut

Great continuation of Andy Carpenter and the crew. Rosenfelt continues to mature his main circle of characters, all with liberal touches of wit and humor. Really good read.
