    Good spring

    Washing machine was off balanced when going through the spin cycle, tub was banging as it spun. took it apart and found that the counter balance spring was missing looks like the old one just rotted away. found this spring on ebay replace broken one, tub spins like normal now, no more banging when in spin cycle, happy camper.

    Shake, rattle and roll.

    Didn't realize the parts were used. Probably would have opted for new parts. But our washer is 35 years old and installing the new springs did help improve the shaking. If it goes anorher 5 years, we offering it to the Smithsonian.

    Washer "spare tire"

    This quality spring steel spring or it's equivalent, should be included with every washer sold like a car's spare tire. A cadmium coated, high tensile spring is necessary to balance the tub. If your washer's out of balance be sure to buy one. Better yet, buy one when you buy the washer or insist the big box store include one as part of the sale.
