Perfect Replacement

Saved a 3 in one HP printer from the junk heap
If a printer is not used for a long time or has been turned off for a while, the print head can gum up and not be usable. If you have a 3 in one printer-copier-fax, this can be a real problem when it is finally wanted to be used. In our case, after shuffled into storage it was unusable after being installed. Replacing the print cartridges and running the cleaning diagnostics did not result in any useful print. Replacing the print heads did the trick and the 3 in one printer is now back in service.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

need use the original C9381A to work around HP printer complaning "Printhead has problem" after losing power
My HP L7680 printer rejected C9381A B/Y printhead after powering cycle and complained "the printhead has problem." To work around this issue, the original C9381A was put in the printer until the printer complained "Alignment Failed," then replace the old C9381A with the new one. After that, the HP printer aligns successfully and everything works. The above process needs to repeat after the HP printer loses power and restarts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Bad Printheads
If my memory serves me correctly they were not HP print heads, they were the Office Max re-manufactured print heads. Anyways, they did not work, they were defective and my printer rejected them.
