1987 Daisy Red Ryder
I bought a 35 year old Daisy Red Ryder as a gift, otherwise I'll d never pay that much for a Daisy bb gun, no matter how old it is. The example I purchased was in like new condition and was a collector's piece. Daisy bb guns are of decent quality for a young, first time shooter to learn the basics of firearm safety as well as function. And although the parts are not made from high quality materials, these guns tend to last for a very long time due to build quality. Or, they used to be anyway. If you want a Daisy bb gun, find one that was built in the USA. I RECEIVED RIFLE AND READ INSTRUCTIONS......I WANTED TO SEE IT IT WORKED, SO I FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS..... COCKED THE LEVER, TOOK OFF SAFETY, AND I ATTEMPTED TO PULL TRIGGER......IT WOULD NOT FIRE NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I THEREAFTER COCKED LEVER???? I HAD NOT PLACE ANY BB'S IN IT WHILE I DID ALL THIS(FOR SAFETY REASONS WHEN I FIRST COCKED LEVER I FELT IT ENGAGE.......BUT, AFTER THAT NOTHING.(NO TENSION BUILD UP ON ADDITIONAL ATTEMPTS TO COCK LEVER???????) IS THIS DEFECTIVE OR A RETURN BY SOMEONE.???? OR DO YOU HAVE TO SEND ME A REPLACEMENT????? Typical good quality air gun by Daisy
The Daisy Model 1938 Red Ryder with wood (not plastic) stock and arm rest was a great buy. I like it because it’s vintage and I prefer wood over plastics any day. For it’s age it still looks good and operates well.

because is a beautiful designed rifle, Have not had the opportunity to use it because I do have a truck load of bee bees but I have not taken the time to find them. I am in no rush, mean time my dogs are taking care of my problem which are a bunch of rats, inside the house and out side the house. I get to them soon. to help my dogs out.

The Red Ryder was listed on auction as "used" with original box and arrived minor scratches from prior use. The charging handle (plastic...my other 1938b is metal) and the leather strap appears to be after market (Not original). Overall I’m happy with the purchase.
