NOT BLOWN AWAY, BUT IT WORKS
Well it's not any different than an ordinary Shubb apart from the slightly longer reach, so if you have a wide fret board, or your basic Shubb doesn't quite stretch, then this is for you.
However, with either size of Shubb the big advantage is that you can adjust the tension, and that's important because thick and thin strings together, as on a a 12 string, need a lot of tension to hold the thin one down.
There are other capos that have adjustable tension but they're far too complicated to use, and normal Kyser style capos can even have a job to stretch around a big neck, so all in all this is probably as good as it gets.
It still needs a bit of fiddling with, it's not as instant as fitting a capo to a 6 string, so I'm not blown away by it, but yes, it can be made to work, so it's OK.
