Notes2008 digitally remastered Special Collector's Edition of the Southern Rock band's third album featuring four previously unreleased bonus tracks. Originally released in 1980, Beatin' the Odds was their first album with new vocalist Jimmy Farrar (original vocalist Danny Joe Brown would be back within a year). The recordings were sound shaped from 24-bit digital technology by Jon Astley (the Who, Judas Priest, Eric Clapton etc) Includes 16 page full colour booklet featuring original and enhanced artwork. Rock Candy.
I normally purchase compilation CD's for my drive to work but none of them had my two favorite Molly Hatchet songs, "1- Dead and Gone" and "2 - Sailor". Dead and Gone is a great anti-drug song. The only song on their greatest hits from this album is "Beatin' The Odds". The band released "The Ramble" and "Few and Far Between". Again, neither are on the greatest hits. All of these songs Rock.
