    Long time favorite

    The Control 5 has been one of my 'go to' standby monitors for many years. The sound quality throughout a wide variety of variables (position, type of listening material, listening level) is amazing for a monitor both in terms of size and price. It remains consistent on all accounts. I have been a dedicated JBL fan for many years and have owned and used many of their products: probably one of the only people who at one time concurrently owned two Paragons. I was even a pro dealer for several years back in the dark ages. There are not too many of the products (especially the pro line) that I have not 'lived with' for varying lengths of time. There is quite a difference between trying something out and living with it. Probably one of the best personal recommendations I could give ...

    A great value

    Lightweight, nice looking and great sound. Combine with a sub and your all set. At list price these are a good value. Too bad JBL doesnt make these anymore ........ Only point I would make is these are 4 ohm speakers, not 8 so if your amp doesnt like low impedance these aren't for you. Does not reflect on sound quality or value.

    Awesome Control 5's!

    These speakers are old, but they rock with solid performance no matter the music genre. JBL's old speakers are stuff of legends, the Control 5's are just an extension of that legacy. There are no speakers on the market that offer a better sound and value!
