Definitely worth it as you fully get what you paid for!
Excellent rubberized and ergonomic grip! Recharges fully quickly. I've tried the lowest setting (0.5mm), which is without the comb attachment, and I didn't get a scratch, contrary to my old Phillips one. Practical to be able to wash it under running water. Blades got all my beard whiskers. Able to move up and down when shaving, unlike some models that you can only go up. Able to perform very precise cut around the mouth and nose. A little heavier than my previous one, but I like this much better - feels like you're holding something of quality instead of cheap plastic. ALMOST perfect!
This is honestly an awesome trimmer, I have really thick and coarse facial hair and this trimmer cuts through it like butter! The battery life is far more than anyone can ask for, and the convenience provided by the 19 different selectable lengths is second to none. I can only think of two cons to this trimmer, 1. The first con I found that this trimmer has is, it’s not the best when it comes to edging or shaving. I understand this is a “trimmer” and not a “razor” but, in my opinion the cutting blade on the blade set that this trimmer came with from the factory is placed too far from the edge of the rake which makes this trimmer almost useless when I try edge up my beard. 2. The second con I found with this trimmer is that due to the first con I mentioned, I started looking for a replacement blade set for the trimmer and found that it’s nearly impossible to find one. Better than the factory blade set or not, I was only able to find one set that was a stock factory replacement. The catch was that it was in Germany and I’d need to pay almost $50.00 just for shipping!! Not to mention another $35.00 for the blade set itself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Works great; better than the Wahl I had been using.
Just wanted something for sideburns and eyebrows. Yes you can dial in 19 positions, but this is only over 1 centimeter. But this is enough for me. I like that it has a lithium type of battery, instead of NiCad. I have purchased three Wahls over the years, and eventually their batteries refuse to hold a charge. Add to this that you can't plug in the Wahl and use it. This Panasonic shaver can be used plugged in, so even if the battery is discharged or has failed, it will still work! This shaver actually has a guard that moves the 1 centimeter when you adjust it, or you can remove it completely to cut directly with the cutters. This shaver is definitely strong enough for using around private parts (yours or someone else's); I know, I tried it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Muscle car of trimmers
As many other online reviews mention, this trimmer really is of top quality. The unit itself looks and feels solid and more importantly doesn’t skip a beat in doing it’s job. Personal disclosure, this trimmer probably is an overkill device for my beard and body hair, but one of the reasons I went with ER-SB40 was Li-ion battery pack that is very quick to charge and holds the charge very well.
