Seller notes: “A RARE 1953 Longines "SILVER ARROW" Timepiece in working order. Movement is a High Grade 23Zs ... “A RARE 1953 Longines "SILVER ARROW" Timepiece in working order. Movement is a High Grade 23Zs Calibre and shows as dirty in need of immediate Cleaning & Lubrication as Service History is unknown. Crystal (perhaps Glass) is Excellent! Watch is missing its Sweep second Hand (easy replacement). Original Dial is Fair and while I generally refrain from Dial make over, I would in this case and making sure the Label "Silver Arrow" is added just Above the 6 location and the word "Swiss" is added just Below the 6! Original Hands and Gold Raised Indices are Good and quite Striking! Back Cover Stamped "Longines & Waterproof" with scratches but a portion of that could be Buffed Out while leaving what remains (important) of its back Emblem and while the Case Covers Original Etching of the "Silver Arrow" is heavily worn smooth some traces of it remain. The STEEL Case is V. Good! Crown is Not Original and should be Replaced with a Longines' Signed Crown, for that is what was Originally on there!”
