Great prices on great cookware. All-Clad from capitalcookware1.

I made a pot of Bolognese yesterday, and found that this 6-quart pot is just the right size for me. I use Marcella Hazan's recipe, which I adapt for one pound of ground turkey (7%) by multiplying every ingredient by 1.33. Perfect size. I have All-Clad's 4-quart soup pot, which is too narrow for breaking up meat efficiently, and the 8-quart stockpot, which is too high. 6-quart is just right. When you braise, it's good to have a pot that's not too tall, or the moisture can dry out before getting to fall back on what you're cooking. Since I'm single, I don't make a large amount of food 90% of the time to justify using the 8-quart size, and the 8-quart has mostly sat on the shelf. I imagine I'll use this one so often, I'll just keep it on the stovetop.

    Beautiful, but lacking

This may be one of the most beautiful tea kettles you can buy. And that's why I bought it. It is disappointing that the whistle doesn't really seal very well and the steam escaped from the sides and so the sound and function of the whistle just aren't what they should be. A little engineering could solve this problem.

  • Best kettle you can get

I had my first kettle like this for 6 years and it served me beautifully. I burned it maybe 20 times and the last time it was sitting on the burner for maybe an hour without the water and survived. Just a little easy off spray and looked great again with one exception - whistle spring failed. Pros: great durable product and finish, 2 qts, wide bottom, boils quickly. Cons: Metal handle requires glove most of the time

  • All Clad products are great and this one continues down the same path...THANKS!!

Very happy with this kettle. We have a gas stove so it was important to have no plastic parts on it. Definitely heats quickly and has a pretty good capacity.

  • Beautiful Tea Pot

I love this tea pot. We boil water every morning for coffee and tea. It has a beautiful shine. Easy to clean. The opening at the top is large enough to get your hand and a sponge in for easy scrubbing. The shape is timeless and the handle is very sturdy. It looks like a piece of sculpture on the stove top.

  • Best teakettle I've ever owned

This is the best teakettle I've ever owned. It is beautifully constructed, with no plastic at all, only stainless steel. It's hard to see how anything adverse could happen to this very sturdy and beautiful cooking vessel. The water boils quite fast, and I love the sound of it - a sort of growling - that starts as soon as the fire is lit. You can hear the whistle anywhere in the house. The only drawback, and it's a minor one: the handle heats up and you can't grasp it without a potholder. On the other hand, it doesn't heat up as much if you pull the kettle towards the side of the stove, removing the handle from the direct heat rising from the flames.

  • An Unusual Kettle

Easy to fill, holds more than I need, and heats quickly. The unusual part is the sound it makes. As soon as you turn on the fire, it begins to moan. By that I do mean, it moans and groans. It does that for a bit, then stops, then boils. The whistle is shrill, and loud enough to hear it around the house. It's a better whistle than my Revere Ware kettle, although frankly, I like the Revere Ware kettle better because of its smaller size. Half a quart plus the steel gauge makes a noticeable difference in weight.

  • Excellent!

This tea kettle is such excellent quality. It is the nicest one I have ever owned. I also like the fact that it is dishwasher safe. I couldn't be more pleased.
