! IMPORTANT - Old-loose/New-Tight Tolerances, Unforgiving Tire Size

I bought the 26"x1.95" foam tubes to use with my *OLD*, slightly-worn-out 26"x2.0" tires. This means that my tires were only only 50 thousandths oversized, which is a 2.5% error from the perfectly matched size. This disregards the extra slop that would result from using these slightly worn-out old tires. During installation it took almost no effort to install, and after I was done there was HALF AN INCH of slop in the tire. It took almost no effort to install them by hand using no tire tools. This ended up DANGEROUSLY LOOSE. It's a good thing that I had new tires on-hand, that were NEW, tight, 1.95" tires (which is exactly the tire size called for). These ended up so tight that they REQUIRED METAL TIRE TOOLS. It takes a ton of force to get to the last section of tire to go on the rim. I like that, because it means that when I take a tight turn it's not going to tear everything off the rim and cause me to slide into traffic. The seller needs to note if the tire is AT ALL LOOSE after installation, DO NOT PROCEED.

    Front tires work great.

If you are using this for the front tire, it's fine. For the rear tire, I don't suggest use, if you are heavy, or have an Ebike. It will compress and damage your sidewall. You will also need to insert a used innertube with the stem removed, between the tire and the insert even for the front.(Be super careful to center the tube)

  • This is a terrible product. It will ruin your tires.

This Stopaflat tube EATS NEW TIRES FROM THE INSIDE OUT. Do not buy this product unless you are able to buy new tires every two weeks! I put these in my tires and they were not wide enough. I cut the valves off the old inner tubes to make the Stopaflat tubes fit - as per the Stopaflat website. This worked but the Stopaflat tubes ground through the rubber inside the tires, leaving a thick layer of powdered rubber inside the tire. I found this out just yesterday when the sidewall collapsed on my front wheel, allowing the Stopaflat tube to protrude out the side.

  • One of the best available options.

The Stop A-Flat tube seemed a bit small cross-section width and height for most of my 26x1.95 tires, the overall inside diameter was okay. Found a tire that was a bit smaller diameter though it said 26x1.95" that the tube fit in better. When riding, the thing seems harder than other "solid tubes" I have had. It is better than getting a front flat and crashing, especially if you are going very fast. This seems like one of the best available options.

  • Solid tube state

Solid tubes and solid tires are about the same weight as tubeless tires or pneumatic tires with puncture proof liners or sealant. The ride feel is a little bit harsh (imagine over inflated tires). The pedal effort is slightly harder (imagine pedaling under inflated tire). The pros of solid tube over solid tire is that you can use your existing rims or wheel set. Unlike solid tire which have specific rim sizes to fit. Installation is relatively easy as any pneumatic tire. From my personal experience, solid tire is much harder to install than solid tube. Overall, I recommended solid tubes. In fact, I'm switching my bikes to solid tube except one with solid tires (just for comparison and experimental purposes)

  • I am satisfied with with quality. But I ...

I am satisfied with with quality. But I am not satisfied that the tube is folded tightly and zip-tied. There is no way to straighten it back out to fit the rim. You just have to force it onto the rim. Still it does not sit flat. These are very difficult to install the tire. The best way is put the tube in the tire. Then on the rim. Then work the tire onto the rim by hand. You have to roll the tire toward you to make space. Then tuck the tire in with your fingers, and push it down into the rim.

  • Quality Product

I’ve used this product before and have had success with the 26x1.95 stop-a-flat however the 700 series is not quite as an exact fit As for value given the cost of a flat repair is $20.00 I won’t have to shell that out ever again. I do foresee some challenge when it comes to replacing tires as the stop a flat is a snug fit

  • It is ok

It’s just not hard enough for my liking. It’s everything you say it is you will not get flights and you don’t have to worry about air. I weigh 250 pounds I’m 6’3” so I wish my tires were just a little more firm. It’s better than the bell no more flats. I don’t think that is it as heavy. It’s easy to install too.

  • Makes it too hard to pedal, resistance is too high to use for any length of time.

The rolling resistance for these tubes is way more than normal tubes, enough to make them unusable. I would never buy them again.

  • Product is awful

Like riding on a half flat tire. Throwing them away & going with a tubeless tire with "Stans no Leak" I have used that product for years on our mountain bikes & is the only leak/flat proof product that works. Slime is also pretty useless as your tire will go flat but can be pumoted back up, but who want to do that. Go with, Stans no Leak
