    Upon opening the package, the towel bar had been a previous return, maybe to a store. The package appeared new, but the inside plastic surrounding the pieces had been broken and the mounting hardware was missing. I do not know if the seller didn't know this, or knew this and sold it as new. I didn't return because I needed it to match another in the same bathroom and the style is hard to find. I was able to contact Delta and get mounting hardware shipped to me.
