More lightweight version of the original 1460
My daughter has borrowed my 1460 (original) Dr. Martens more than enough times, I finally got her her own as a gift. Her only complaint was the ankle was stiff and would rub, and the leather was quite heavy and thick. After researching, I learned the Pascal 1460 were lighter in weight making them easier to stretch, without sacrificing materials, quality or durability. She is very happy, saying they are still stiff at the ankle but have already stretched quite a bit and are getting more comfortable by the day. You will find mixed reviews, but I followed the Doc Marten guidelines for sizing and they fit perfectly. She wears a solid size 6.5 in shoes and we ordered her a 6.
