  • Everything you need to know.

Brilliant as always. Alan Titchmarsh's explanations are easy to follow, comprehensive, and practical. The book is ideal for complete beginners right through to more experienced gardeners. It even has guidance on what to grow in an unheated, cool, warm or hot greenhouse, which I've never come across in any other 'Greenhouse' book I've looked at. Would definitely recommend.

  • A great read to help you on your way in the greenhouse

This book really does start at the beginning with, what is a greenhouse? It covers subjects like the Anatomy of a greenhouse, Choosing the right greenhouse, and alternatives to greenhouses. Along with other getting started sections, it also covers Choosing and preparing the site for the greenhouse and erecting it. This is roughly the first forty pages (about a third of the book). I do have a greenhouse already, but I still learnt things from the above. The latter part of the book, again approximately forty pages, focuses on types of Vegetables, Fruits, Herbs and Flowers etc that can be grown or kept in a greenhouse. I would recommend this book which I found interesting throughout. It’s not a hard read and has many handy tips, especially if you are new to greenhouses. If you are not a complete novice there will be things you will already know, but for me, it was nice to be reminded of the many things that I had forgotten.

  • Excellent book

I found this book so interesting and helpful, It gives step by step guidance! Very reasonable in price! I’m a novice at greenhouse vegetable growing from seeds, and already by guidance from Allen’s book I’m nearly ready to transplant my seedlings to bigger pots! Looking forward to a great crop of different veg this year! Thank you!

Perfect book, for novice & experienced alike. Even if only interested in one of the little plastic greenhouses. Super tips, easy to follow. Can also recommend Alan's other books in this series.
