Great DVD recorder
This DVD recorder works great. I did have to order the Protron remote afterwards though, because without a remote it won't let you do the steps that need to be taken. Once I got the remote and googled online how this recorder worked, it works great. I recorded all my 38 VHS tapes already onto DVD and then on my computer windows 7, I made movies out of them and then recorder them with windows DVD maker to make them compatible with DVD players. I made copies without the dvd maker, just straight from desktop to DVD-R but then they will only play back on a computer or laptop.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

If this is the one that works then thank you but any of the clues that dont apply to it, oh well, the price is right
i bought 3 of them off Ebay within a week, i already had 2 of them from 2005 but they had quit working. Of the three i bought recently only one worked as advertised. I bought one that was still in the box with the original seal still on it unopened and it didnt work so i bought the other 2 units,, of them the next one only would play a few cds but wouldnt recognize and dvds so i opened the next box and it actually works. it is a little glitchy with my remote that came with my new unit in the original box but it does record my home movies to my satisfaction., this working unit looks very good with few to no scratches, the one that played only cds was dusty in the tray and had permanent ink markings for applying the cables and scratches. the one that was in the box was in brand new condition. So these particular units can go bad just sitting there and getting one that works is worth the search. i have to buy a converter so the working one will accept tv channels as this is old style technology.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
